Early last week I again called the Tn License department of Monroe County (Telco, Tn) and again the lady I talked with said I had only two choices: 1) pay the fine or 2) show up for court, hopping it gets dismissed. I assured her that i would show up, as to NOT give Tn any of my money. Just before hanging up and out of frustration, I asked, "What is the Judges name and phone number?" She provided that information to me, a Judge Reed Dickson, I called him and talked with Judge Dickson's executive assistant. I told her my story and that I could provide documentation of my innocence's. She asked me if I could fax her the information, because she will take straight to Judge Dickson and talk to him about dismissing it. She agreed with me that I shouldn't have to travel for this.
After an hour later, the ticket had been dismissed and I was a free man! Thanks go out the Dewayna, Monroe County Judge's executive assistance. Mr. Griffith gets a zero!

You know, I must admit that I am very disappointed in Mr. Griffith lack of concern for the people that his supposedly represents. I got a quick email that state, "blah, blah, blah...yes we got your email, but it will take weeks for use to respond...blah, blah, blah". Weeks? Seriously? Do they not have computers and staff? First impressions Mr. Griffith...First impressions.

Now I have to figure out how I get a letter from Mr. Craig, who I talked to on the phone with little effort, to the Tn judge. I had 20 days to get a tag and I was pulled over day 19. I was legal in Alabama and therefor am being forced to either pay $120 to Tn (guilty fee) or show up for court in Monroe County, Tn on Dec. 6th. If I cannot get this resolved via the mail or over the phone, I will show up. No way in HELL will I give that money sucking county a cent of my money. I figure it will cost about 200 bucks total and would rather me lose it and NOT allow that County of have the revenue.

The Tn Trooper told me several times that this simple warning would NOT cost a thing. His TN badge number is 882. Wonder if I can call the State Troopers and talk to them. Anybody got any suggestions? I asked Mr. Griffith, but he was too busy to respond.

Oh, I forgot one thing. While I was riding, I realized that the guys riding this hare scramble were some of the most courtliest riders I have ever been around. Why do I say that, because darn near every rider that passed me said, "Thanks" or "Thanks, man!" as they passed me. Very nice guys! And trust me, there were plenty of riders that pasted me.

Wendi, first I want you to know how saddened I am about your loss. I can't image how tough that was and still is on you. Second please understand I meant NO disrespect toward you, your Father, or your family in my comment. If you look around the site, you will see that I am very concerned about Motorcycle / Motocross safety and the risks involved. Because I didn't know anything about your Fathers skill level, I wanted to ask the tough question. Thank you so very much for coming on and letting us know that freak things do happen. Trust me, this site does get a significant number of North Alabama riders coming by and reading and your story I thing needs to be heard & passed on to the bike riders of North Alabama.

Safety is key to our bike riding and to our health. If there is anything that I might be able to do your for or yours, please do not hesitate to reach out and ask. Again & lastly please accept my most humble apologies if I might have offended any of your family, as that was not my intentions.

My God by with you and you family,
Mike Magee

So I wrote Congressman Griffith asking him for help. So far Mark Craig, who I talked to directly, said he will support me and I am hopping Mr. Griffith will do the same. Next stop is the Federal Government.

I was a little caught off guard with the statement "Do you think this guy was capable of doing what he did or do you think it was just a freak accident?" William Bauer is/was my father. He was in perfect health and had so much to live for. He served 23 years in the Army and he was a very honorable man. He was an experienced rider and riding was in his blood. In his younger years he would race and would win those races on multiple occasions. This was definantly a freak accident that has left his family with a big hole in their hearts. But one thing I know is my Father lost his life doing what he loved and that brings me peace. To all fellow riders out there my only wish is that everyone be safe!

Well today was a joke. I called the Tennessee county clerk of Monroe County. They are going to charge me $120.00 and all I have to do is send in proof of having a tag. Bullshit, I said! She laughed. She said I could come up and hope that the Judge dismisses the charges. What charges? I am not being charged with crap! Then I hung up!

I called a phone number of the Madison County licensing department and talked with Mark Craig! That guy is a very nice and helpful person. He said that I have 20 days from when I bought the car to get a tag AND that Alabama does NOT issue any type of State, County, or City tag. I asked him if he would tell that to the Jack-Wagon TN State Trooper! Mark laughed and offered to send them a letter on Madison County Letter head. He also offered to get me one if I wanted to show up for their court date.

This is a joke. I now have to travel 2 hours, missing work, to as a TN Judge to dismiss a charge against me that was wrongly put on me. Not that I can't pay the $120 fine, but the TN Trooper (Badge number 882) has now cause me a day of work. Don't think I can re-coop that. WTF! Oh yeah, that Bonehead told me that this was a warning and it had NO money associated with it as long as I get the tag purchased in time. The TN county clerk let me know very quickly that, that was not the case.
